Neu-Aspermont Castle

Neu-Aspermont Castle is a ruined castle in the municipality of Jenins of the Canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.
==History==
The castle was built north-east of the Jenins village around 1235 by the Lords of Aspermont. They probably occupied the castle and ruled the surrounding land until 1347. In 1536 the Three Leagues took over the castle and it was probably the residence of their representative. The castle remained occupied until the 17th century when it was abandoned and quickly fell into ruin.〔(Gesellschaft für Schweizerische Kunstgeschichte GSK ) accessed 21 January 2013 〕
